Advertising.com Appoints Harald R. Fortmann
Managing Director, German Operations

Hamburg, Germany – August 31, 2006 - Advertising.com, Inc., a leading provider of results-based interactive marketing services, today announced the appointment of Harald R. Fortmann as the new Managing Director for its German operations.

Harald R. Fortmann comes to Advertising.com with broad experience in search marketing and international media. Since 2003 he has served as Managing Director of 24/7 Real Media Germany/Austria, and prior to that held the position of Director of 24/7 Search, Europe, where he was responsible for launching the company’s European search business in 2002. Additionally, since 2005 he has served as Vice-President of the German IAB - Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) e.V. - leading its Performance Marketing Board which he founded in 2005, as well as the Search Engine Marketing Board, which he has sat on since 2004. Prior to 24/7 Real Media, Fortmann worked in the mobile telecommunication sector, specialising in Mobile Data Applications and Services.

Fortmann is a welcome addition to Advertising.com as it continues its phenomenal success within the digital advertising market in the US and Europe. “My goal is to expand the German business and unlock new relationships utilising my in-depth knowledge of the European Search and Digital Media markets. Given my role within the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) e.V., Advertising.com will also benefit from the insight of the board, which has achieved significant results in furthering the market’s education on Performance Marketing over the past two years,” commented Fortmann

Advertising.com opened its first European office in 2000, with EU headquarters in the UK. The company's European operations currently include France, Germany, Spain and Scandinavia.
